Richard Kommi Beat Raymundo Beltran

IBF lightweight champion Richard Kommi successfully defended his belt, winning an early victory over former WBO champion Raimundo Beltran.

Already in the first round, two knockdowns were counted to Beltran, but after the second one, he managed to shock Commi, catching him with a blow to meet. By the third round, Beltran recovered and looked more preferable, but in the fourth round, Kommi again seized the initiative, and at the beginning of the fifth, once again sent the opponent to the knockdown, but after that, he himself missed several punches, which clearly shook him.

In the sixth round, Beltran received a cut as a result of a head-on collision.

In the eighth round, Kommi sent him to the ring for the fourth time, and the referee, looking Beltran in the eye, stopped the fight.

Recall that even in the event of a victory, Beltran would not have received the IBF belt, since, during the weigh-in, he could not keep within the lightweight limit.
